isiZulu language learning for children, caregivers and schools
Passionate about the next generation speaking Zulu, ZuluMites offers training, resources and activity-based programmes for isiZulu language learning for children, caregivers and schools.
We train your Nanny to become a 'language tutor' in your home and give practical training on how to teach your children isiZulu using our uniquely developed play-based Zulu programme. Monthly workshops in your area provide essential training for your nanny to be effective and engaging. Ideally for caregivers taking care of children 8yrs and younger.
The first activity-based language programme combining the necessity to learn an African language, with opportunities to learn developmentally appropriate skills. Children engage in a range of activities that target practical vocabulary, in a fun and interactive learning environment where no English is spoken.
These programmes are targeted for kids aged 3-8yrs and takes place at various times and locations around Johannesburg.

Our nanny has been attending the Caregiver training with ZuluMites for the past year or so. It is one of the best investments we have made in both her and our daughter. The course has given her the confidence, tools and training to teach our daughter isiZulu. The results have been remarkable – our daughter at two can understand and speak isiZulu. We believe it really helped starting early, from before Lucy was one (although it’s never too late to start!). We have supported the process by supplementing the material provided by ZuluMites by purchasing isiZulu books and having cultural days at home – all ideas encouraged by ZuluMites. We would highly recommend the course to other parents who are passionate about our rainbow nation and appreciate the value of learning multiple languages from a young age.
