Reading skills development for children
The Workshop Reading Centre is dedicated to assisting children with reading difficulties.
A psychometric evaluation assesses problem areas, reading level, and the most appropriate course of remediation for your child.
Our professional and caring team aim to rapidly close the gap between your child’s potential and his performance, with a strong emphasis on developing a postive outlook toward reading and boosting confidence.
Our reading centre is conveniently located in Pineslopes.
The Cellfield programme is a computer-based treatment, which targets core skills required for early reading, as well as the skills required for fluent reading. Children who have had little or no success with other remediation programmmes have shown jump improvements with Cellfield, of between 12-23 months in 2 weeks of treatment!
We offer workshops for parents, teachers, and children either at our centre or schools.

The Inferential Reading Workshop was very beneficial to our Grade 7 pupils. The content was relevant and relatable. The information was conveyed in a lively manner and was well-paced. The pupils responded well to the course content and enjoyed the variation of activities. Thank you to Angela for engaging so positively with our pupils and for creating a spring board from which they can further grow and develop their skills. Since doing Cellfield, Cian's confidence has improved dramatically. He will attempt unfamiliar and long words now, whereas previously he would just give up. He is interacting with the text that surrounds us in our daily lives which is exciting to experience.
I am so impressed with his improvement, he is like a different child. He has gone up four levels in readers since returning to school this term and I am no longer dreading the onset of exams next year.
