Private Tutoring (at home and online)
Our dedicated team of tutors is available to assist you with added support in all school subjects, across the grades.
Reading Lessons
The Turning Point is passionate about helping children learn to read effectively. We have a hand selected group of tutors who are trained and equipped to teach reading successfully.
Remedial Therapy
Sometimes our children need a little more than extra lessons. That’s where our team of suitable qualified and experienced Remedial Therapists steps in to assist.
Weekly Test and Yearly Exam Accommodations
Often times, when a student qualifies for test/ exam accommodations/ concessions, their school may require extra man-power to implement this. Our team of tutors are especially hand picked, and well trained in this area.
Study Skills
All children need to be taught how to study. We have an excellent program we take students through, which offers theory behind how to study and practical application of this, using their school work.
Educational Assessments
We are able to do scholastic assessments; which provides insight into your child’s academic performance.
Home School Tutoring
We are not a school, or even a tutor center, but we have a remarkable team of tutors available to assist parents who choose to home school their children.

Aim and Purpose of the Exam Prep Workshops
•These are different to normal extra lessons!
• The aim and purpose of these sessions is to allow students time to practice past exam papers and exam techniques.
• Our team have prepared grade specific exam papers to work through with the students. In other words, it is a tutor led session, allowing the students to learn exam technique.
• If you require additional teaching of content, then you might prefer to do the normal extra lessons/ tutoring.
Practicalities of the Exam Prep Workshops
• Sessions will be online, via Google Meet.
• Students require a google account, suitable internet connection and a computer (recommended) or tablet. We do not suggest using a phone for these sessions!
• Students will have access to a Google Classroom where copies of the past paper will be available as well as recordings of each session. (These are not allowed to be shared with students who are not a part of the Exam Prep Workshops!)
• It will be a live video call, allowing for real time interaction with the tutor.
• These sessions are offered in small groups, with no more than 5 students in each class.
• These workshops will run through the month of October, with regular weekly slots.
• The sessions are offered after hours to ensure everyone can attend.
