Professional and experienced drum lessons for all ages
Mark Trump has been performing on drums since 1985, starting at age 5 and teaching professionally since 2004. Mark holds a LTCL Diploma in drumming recital and an ATCL Teaching Diploma in instrumental teaching & Music Education, Associate to Trinity College of London.
Mark has performed in many original bands and corporate cover bands. He has also done theatre performance and marching band drumming and would from time to time perform is classical orchestras (Snare Drum).
Mark has been teaching since 2004 doing one on one private tuition, classroom teaching and also full time course lecturer. Mark has many old students actively performing abroad and in the South African music industry. Mark has a strong and healthy teaching ethic and philosophy, and brings a great professional standard and meaning to his teaching methods. He has self published a music rhythm reading book and developed a tool used to better learn how to understand musical rhythm concepts.
Mark teaches from his home studio as well as the prestigious Steyn City School in Fourways. He continues to deliver well rounded students, knowledgeable in music and competent performers.
Guitar, bass and beginner piano lessons
Mark Trump has now teamed up with legendary bassist guitarist Gert Griessel to open the collective up to offering Guitar, Bass and beginner Piano lessons. The duo have a collective experience of 30 years in the music business, both as esteemed educators and performers.
