Small mainstream private school

Kingfisher Learning Centre was founded in 2004, it started operation from a home in Kingfisher Street in Horizon Park, hence the name Kingfisher Learning Centre

Grades 1 to 3 were taught, catering for children who needed or preferred a small classroom environment. By 2005 it was necessary to move to larger premises and register with the Gauteng Department of Education, this process was completed by the end of 2008. Over the years the school has grown to accommodate learners from grade R to 7 and enrolment is currently over 95 learners.

Kingfisher Learning Centre follows the CAPS curriculum as well as extending the learning experience in all areas. The classes are kept small, so individual attention is continuously given.

Kingfisher Learning centre is an excellent school. The school is organized and dynamic. During covid lockdown I was most impressed by how adaptable they were and quickly organised the school and learners for online learning not to disadvantage the learners. The staff truly care for the learners and their well being. 10/10

Kingfisher Learning Centre is an amazing school. My two boys are enjoying going to school each morning. We love the fact that the classes are small. Each child has that 1 to 1 experience when they are struggling with something. The teacher's are so amazing, they have the interest of each child at heart and will set up a meeting with you if there are any issues that your child has or struggling with something.
