My two daughters have been attending JATA for the past three years, and it has been an amazing experience. The instructors are talented and dedicated, fostering a supportive environment where creativity thrives. My daughters have grown in both skill and confidence. The academy's regular exhibitions give students the chance to showcase their work, which has greatly boosted my daughters' self-esteem and they love performing at theatre for a huge audience . I highly recommend JATA for any young artist looking to develop their talents in a nurturing community.

My daughter started at JATA two months ago and I need to say she is so happy never wants to miss a class.. Thank you JATA, for all the work you put into our kids.

JATA has provided my daughter with a world of opportunity - from violin, to drama, to dancing! The teachers are all qualified professionals and not only extremely talented performers themselves but role models for kids. They truly care for their students, which makes JATA stand out from their peers.

My 7 year old son has absolutely loved his hip-hop classes at Jata! Wonderful environment and teachers. and his confidence is growing every day. There is limited pressure - allowing him to simply enjoy the dancing - something that was important to us. Would highly recommend!

JATA is a brilliant one stop theatre arts shop! There are so many performing arts to choose from for both girls and boys, young and old.
Our daughter absolutely loves her tap lessons and is thriving in modern dance. It’s well run, professional and fun!

Firstly, this is an amazing and constructive facility that kids really respond to and does an amazing job of pushing the kids to improve while maintaining a friendly and happy environment. Secondly, your kid doesn't need to be gifted or keen to become a performer. There is a class for all levels and all interests. My son attended hip hop classes from age 7 to 11 and had a ball. While having fun he also learnt about discipline and practice, confidence to stand up and do your best, and how to follow choreography. For anyone looking for a constructive extramural that isn't sport or chess based, this is a great option. It is also a great space with amazing teachers and administrators, and a facility that really deserves to be supported.

JATA has marvelous caring dance teachers, who are all able to teach beautiful technique. The right studio for kids who have a passion for the performing arts.

JATA absolutely knows theatre and this is evident in their annual showcase where all the dancers get an opportunity to perform in a theatre, on stage, in front of an audience. The show is so entertaining and JATA's teachers really are talented and creative making this dance school a must for young performers.

I have a lot of amazing things to say about Anitra and Ami and what they have done for my girls. I work for a Child and Youth Care Centre based in Joburg and 13 of my girls attend ballet, hip-hop, singing and drama at Jata. My girls have gained not only different skills but confidence in themselves. Being a child who stays in a CYCC tends to make one feel different from the rest but these classes mean a lot to my girls.
My girls feel part of an amazing community and they always look forward to Jata classes, I have been taught a few ballet moves myself😅

My special needs daughter has been dancing with Yolande at JATA ever since she moved from Ferndale. The JATA community have welcomed and supported the special needs group with genuine warmth and appreciation. It is wonderful to see the many different activities taking place on a daily basis! What a wonderful place for people to express who they are!

My daughter has been dancing with JATA for almost many years since she was just a toddler. We love the teachers and the dancers even the actors too. JATA is her second school that she doesn't want to miss. Keep up the good work Anitra, Aime and all the teachers we really appreciate your time with our kids. We love you all ❤️

JATA is the best dance/drama/music school for kids. Kids are taught a proper curriculum with exams but they are also inspired to love the arts and explore other disciplines as well. At JATA, you will find every demographic and body type. Kids are nurtured in the best way by teachers who are passionate about the arts and teaching. It truly is an exceptional school.

My daughter does tap and modern dancing at Jata and it’s an amazing studio. Highly recommend it for dance and performing arts.

JATA is a great place to send your child to perfect their craft in the ARTS. Our boy has been going for the past 2 years and has learned a lot throughout the time there. Anitra is very accommodating and has excellent staff.

Our daughter has danced at Jata for many years and she's now in the senior tap group. Jata is a happy place for our entire family. From the grounds to the studios to the amazing, amazing teachers and staff... It has been a pleasure to be involved with the Jata community and we look forward to many more years of dance and community.

My daughter has been dancing at Jata for the last 2 years and has loved it since the very first class. The whole team are unbelievably caring, warm, welcoming and the MOST fantastic teachers we could ever wish for. There is so much on offer at JATA that your artistic, creative, dramatic, incredible child will most definitely find their niche. Thank you Anitra, Tandi and TEAM!
