Singing' in the Rain Jr at the Roodepoort Theatre

Tap your toes and sing along in this splashy adaptation of the world’s most celebrated movie musical!

Don and Lina are a popular on-screen couple in silent films, but when their studio decides to make a "talkie", they run into serious trouble. Lina's voice, like fingernails on a chalkboard, is grating and unsuitable for sound, and Don struggles to adapt to the technological era. Enter Kathy, a talented young actress with a beautiful singing voice who helps Don adjust to the new medium.

Together with Don's best friend Cosmo Brown, they come up with a plan to dub Lina's voice and make the new film a success. But when Lina discovers the truth and begins to see the buds of romance between Don and Kathy, she tries to sabotage the film's premiere!

Can love conquer all, and will the movie be able to overcome the storm on the horizon?
"Singin' in the Rain Jr" features many of the classic songs from the original film, such as "Good Morning," "Make 'Em Laugh," and the titular "Singin' in the Rain."
