Chess Lessons for Kids and Adults

Looking for a chess coach in Johannesburg or an engaging way to help your child think strategically and grow in confidence? Triple Check Tactics offers personalised kids chess coaching—both in-person and online—designed to sharpen minds, build resilience, and inspire a lifelong love for the game.

Our current lesson options:

♟️ Private Lessons (Online or In-Person)

- R385 per hour
- Available weekday mornings between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM
- In-person lessons take place at our Cresta, Randburg facility
- We can also travel to your home for added convenience

These sessions are ideal for personalized attention and tailored learning at your child’s pace. With one-on-one guidance, we’re able to focus on your child’s unique strengths and challenges, helping them build confidence, deepen their understanding and progress more quickly in a supportive, encouraging environment. We also prepare students for tournaments, equipping them with the skills, strategy, and mindset needed to compete confidently and steadily improve their rankings.

♟️ Online Group Lessons (Homeschool-Focused)

- R175 per session (1 hour)
- Held weekday mornings
- Designed specifically for homeschool learners

These sessions combine structured learning with a sense of community and interaction. Students benefit from engaging lessons that fit seamlessly into their homeschool routine, while also developing social skills, learning from peers, and staying motivated through shared progress and collaboration.

♟️ Saturday Group Lessons (Blairgowrie, Randburg)

Beginners:
- 8am-9am
- R175 per student

Intermediate:
- 9.15am–10.45am
- R200 per student

These classes are a wonderful way for students to learn alongside peers, build friendships, and enjoy the game in a supportive environment. Group settings encourage teamwork, healthy challenge, and a sense of belonging—helping children stay engaged while developing critical thinking, discipline, and a love for chess.
