Before the printing begins, we’ll demonstrate how a potato is carefully carved and turned into a stamp, introducing children to a traditional printmaking technique that has inspired generations of young artists.
Children will create unique tote bags using a selection of pre-cut potato stamp shapes, combining colours, patterns, and repeated prints to design beautiful and functional works of art. This hands-on process allows them to explore creativity while learning the basics of printmaking in a fun and engaging way.
This workshop encourages creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on learning while giving children a break from screens and a chance to explore a nostalgic craft in a modern way. Best of all, they’ll leave with a personalised tote bag they can proudly use again and again.
