Charity - Aftercare facility for needy kids

Golang Education Outreach is an NPO Preschool and Aftercare Centre for 250 vulnerable children living in the Zandspruit Informal Settlement. We provide a safe and stimulating environment, offering tutoring, life-skills and sports programs to 60 pre-schoolers and 240 primary and high school children at the Emthonjeni Community Centre.

Golang was established in 2002 as an Aftercare Centre with the aim of keeping the children of Zandspruit off the streets. We have since established our Preschool catering for 60 pre-schoolers.

We employ 15 staff members from the Zandspruit Informal Settlement, who teach, tutor, nurture, guide and play with the children every day during school term.

The Aftercare Centre children attend every weekday afternoon. For children aged 6-14.
