Book review: They didn’t teach this in worm school

“They didn’t teach this in worm school”, by Simone Lia, is a hilarious story about a very unlikely friendship.

It is a book full of  mischief and adventure and children 7-9 years old will really enjoy it as much as I did.  It’s all about a little worm named Marcus, his favourite colour is brown and his hobbies include digging in tunnels.

One day while digging, his head is banged on a wall and suddenly he is on a breakfast plate with a hungry looking bird named Laurence.  Laurence forces Marcus to go with him from England all the way to Lake Nakuru in Africa.  He (Laurence) thinks he will finally be in peace if he is in Lake Nakuru.

Marcus had a choice of either going with Laurence or being eaten for breakfast.  He decides to go on the trip and on the way both friends have to deal with tricky tasks which make the book even better.

I really love this book and one of my favourite things about this lovely book is the friendship between Marcus and Laurence.

Its so hilarious, funny and super sweet. This is a must-read book for every single bookworm out there.

Even if you don’t really like reading, I really recommend everyone to read this book.  Honestly this is one of my personal favorite books ever!
