Essenwood Craft Market is held every Saturday in Berea Park. Held on the first Saturday of iheartevery month, this market provides a platform for local foodies, designers and clever crafters to showcase their products. Only hand-crafted, homemade and locally designed goodies are sold, and the owners of iHeart adhere to a strict “no imports” policy. With a wide variety of clothing, accessories, handicraft and décor, the iHeart Market is an essential for bargain-hunters keen on unique products. Whilst it’s a little drive out of Durban, and you’d have to rise quite early to get there, the Shongweni Farmers and Craft Market is a must for all visitors and residents of the greater Durban area. Open from 06h00 to 10h30 every Saturday morning, the Shongweni Farmers and Craft Market is a family-oriented market, with lots of great Shongwenifresh produce on sale. Priding itself on good South African fare, this market is found on the corner of Kassier and Alverstone Roads in Assagay. You can enjoy a relaxed breakfast or pick up wonderful fresh produce.
