Learning Centre for Autistic, ADHD and Neurodivergent Teens
The Learning Hive is dedicated to empowering neurodivergent teens who struggle with traditional schooling.
We provide a safe, nurturing, and affirming space where young people have autonomy over their learning environment and pace. Through flexible, self-directed learning opportunities aligned with recognised curricula, individualized support, and passionate mentorship, we aim to reignite each young person's love for learning while fostering a sense of belonging and pride in their neurodivergent identity.
We strive to provide every young person with:
- a sense of belonging and pride
autonomy over their body and sensory needs
self-paced and self-directed learning
individualised therapeutic support and accommodations
passionate and affirming Care Collaborators
a safe and nurturing environment.
Through CambriLearn, we are able to adapt the curriculum for each young person individually.
Documented Learning Differences:
ADHD and Autism: Both are neurodevelopmental conditions that impact the way a person perceives and responds to the world. At the Learning Hive, we place a strong focus on the young persons interests and natural skills, to scaffold their learning experience.
Specific Learning Disorders: This includes challenges in writing (dysgraphia), spelling, reading (dyslexia), and mathematics (dyscalculia).
Sensory Processing Differences: Neurodivergent individuals often experience a sensory system that either seeks or avoids certain sensory inputs. At the Learning Hive, our environment is thoughtfully designed to accommodate these sensory needs, ensuring that neurodivergent youth can engage comfortably without facing overwhelming sensory challenges on a daily basis.
