NPO supporting children & women in abuse situations

The National Children and Violence Trust is a Non–Profit Organisation that functions to support vulnerable groups such as abused and violated children, women, the unemployed and people infected by HIV/AIDS. NCVT works with youth ( In and out of school), women and the whole family in some of the most impoverished informal settlements and farming areas in Gauteng, such as Diepsloot, Loss My Cherry, Riverband, Zevenfontein, Lanseria, Mswawa, Thabo Mkeki, Nooitgedacht, Itsoseng and the new settlement of Cosmo City. These areas are subject to high incidences of violence and trauma.

We offer:

Psycho-social and trauma management program:

• Counceling and Trauma Management. • Victim Empowerment • Family Therapy Sessions • Psycho-Educational Assesment • Generic Social work Services

Access to justice and a court support program:

• Informing Individuals and families of their rights to justice • Accompanying children to court to ensure access to justice

Capacity building for stakeholders:

• Training in victim empowerment and trauma management • We priovide basic coulceling for frontline core workers and stakeholders

School wellness program:

• Render programs in schools to create awareness of and to observe children’s rights and responsibilities, child abuse and domestic violence
