Cooking classes for kids
The Little Kitchen program was developed by Linzy, a founder with a passion for food and kids, working towards her Bachelor of Consumer Science in Food and Nutrition, with the guidance of an Occupational Therapist, ensures that your child’s food journey is in good hands!
Does your child struggle with fussy eating or sensory problems? Our program compliments Occupational Therapy programs to introduce tastes and textures to your child in a fun an exciting way. We give you support as to how to continue these practices at home. Our program does not only teach your child kitchen and life skills, we incorporate math, science, memory, art and more.
We offer :
- School cooking extra mural classes
- Cooking holiday programs
- Cooking parties
- Pop up workshops
- Franchise opportunities
The Little Kitchen program has expanded and includes the following age groups :
• Little Kitchen kids ages 2 – 10 years: this program works alongside the pre and primary school curriculum to include, not only basic kitchen skills but also fine motor skills, letter recognition, maths, art, science, problem solving and more.
• Little Kitchen tweens ages 9-12 years: this program gives tweens the independence and confidence to read recipes, problem solve, all while building a relationship with their parent or guardian. The tweens program is a partnership program to allow a parent or guardian to join in the fun.
• Little Kitchen teens ages 13-16 years: this program gives your teen independence and confidence to read a recipe, create dishes with pantry staples and learn to cook healthy, and delicious meals for themselves and their families. We also teach some great “real life hacks”.
Online classes, cooking parties
All our programs use equipment and ingredients that are perfect for the growing child, and, are offered as extra murals, group lessons of 5 and up, baker baker days, individual lessons, parties, as well as virtual lessons.
