Established in 1986, Knights is an authentic Christian pre, prep and high school in Northern Johannesburg offering an inclusive yet exclusive private, future-focussed education with an optional accelerated learning program.

Knights equips our students to become purpose-driven local and global change makers who, with their identity firmly rooted in Christ and confidence in their own God-given talents, boldly influence the world they live in.

Preschool

Our preschool prides itself on its play-based and child-centred approach to learning and teaching. It is within this special space that we take great pleasure and pride in seeing our children explore, experience and grow into individuals with limitless potential. Every day is filled with laughter, wonder and awe where children make their own discoveries, making sense of the world around them.

Prep School

From Grade 1 to 3, our children are introduced to creative and authentic learning opportunities, underpinned by our Christian values and ethos, equipping them with the skills that would require them to be responsible 21st century citizens and lifelong learners.

We believe that a child’s learning experience must be holistic and all encompassing, our academic program, which is based on the CAPS curriculum, is carefully built and designed to encourage academic rigour and excellence.

In the InterSen Phase. Our classrooms are learner centred as we seek to encourage our children to invent and discover – to feed each child’s natural curiosity and provide ample opportunities to explore the world.

Each learner is given the opportunity to nurture and develop their individual gifts and talents. While following the National Curriculum, collaboration, communication, critical thinking and reflection are encouraged through projects and discussions. Our learners are shown how to be “explicit thinkers” who will make a positive contribution to the society in which they live.

High School

Our High School model is different to the traditional model in that our focus is on an inquiry pedagogical approach. We’re proud to offer a unique dual-accreditation programme, equipping our students with both the esteemed South African IEB Matric qualification and the globally recognised American Diploma. This opens a world of opportunities, allowing our students to pursue all higher education pathways both locally and internationally.
