Private and Group Cooking Classes for Domestic Workers


The classes are relaxed, informal and fun! No exams and no culinary trick questions Designed to boost confidence and get comfy in the kitchen - good old fashioned, hands on learning.
Established January 2015 we have trained over 140 domestic workers to date!

Private cooking classes in my kitchen or your own


For the ladies who canít make it on a Tuesdays and would prefer one to one classes in my kitchen or the comfort of your own

Once-off cooking classes


Offered on your chosen day/days (accept Tuesdays) and I teach up to five dishes of your choice.

Group classes


This is a group of up to 8 ladies who will be in !a class together for the duration of the course, the size of the group differs from month to month

Details about the cooking classes


- Where:
The classes run from my home in Linden, we have good public transport routes and are easy to find
The private classes can be offered at my home or yours.

- When:
Group classes run ONCE A WEEK FOR FOUR WEEKS - we start on the first Tuesday of every month
a Schedule for the following month comes out on the second friday of the current month
Classes start at nine and finish around two

- Costs
Group Classes are R2500 per learner (in the Home Cooks kitchen) !
Private Classes are R2950 per leaner (the Home Cooks kitchen or yours)
Once-off Classes are R250 per dish (you can choose up to 5 dishes)

- What's included:
All the ingredients we use, drinks and a wholesome meal at every class, a folder with detailed class notes, recipes, meal plans and a certificate upon completion of the course all your domestic needs to bring is a clean apron please!

- Theory Lesson
I do a short theory session during the first class where we discuss the following subjects: hygiene in the workplace, saving time and money, freezing and defrosting, keeping stock, planning ahead, food storing and measuring.
