That is exactly what gratitude does in your life \u2013 the more you appreciate the things, people, experiences in your life, the more you seem to notice things to appreciate and the more good stuff you attract.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Teaching kids this basic daily practice is easy and fun \u2013 on your way to school get into a habit of taking turns to express things that you are grateful for. It is such an uplifting way to start the day and it helps kids to focus on the positive in their lives \u2013 an attitude that will serve them in everything that they do.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_248665\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-248665\" style=\"width: 898px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-248665\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jozikids.co.za\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/gratitude.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"898\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jozikids.co.za\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/gratitude.jpg 898w, https:\/\/www.jozikids.co.za\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/gratitude-300x134.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.jozikids.co.za\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/gratitude-768x342.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 898px) 100vw, 898px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-248665\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Credit: https:\/\/www.wellright.com<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>There are so many things to be thankful for if we stop for a moment and take notice \u2013 these can be big or small and could include things like\u2026<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I\u2019m grateful for the beautiful trees on the way to school.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I\u2019m grateful for my family.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I\u2019m grateful that today is swimming day.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I\u2019m grateful for the person who let me in in the traffic.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I\u2019m grateful for the cup of tea that was made for me this morning.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I\u2019m grateful for my health.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I\u2019m grateful for the car that we\u2019re driving in.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I\u2019m grateful for\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Listing the positives is easy once you get going. I like to take this to the next level and say thank you for the negatives in my life too\u2026<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I\u2019m grateful for the headache I have right now.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I\u2019m grateful for my grumpy boss.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I\u2019m grateful for this traffic jam.<\/p>\n<p>The mind is a funny thing, and when we start saying thanks for things that appear to be negative, then it starts wondering, \u201cwhy am I doing this\u201d and then proceeds to come up with answers\u2026 \u201cI\u2019m grateful for the headache because it\u2019s reminding me to drink more water before my kidneys pack up; I\u2019m grateful for the grumpy boss so that I don\u2019t get too comfortable in a job and instead keep pursuing my dreams of working for myself; I\u2019m grateful for the traffic jam for giving me time to really reflect on what I\u2019m grateful for!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gratitude is like magic in the way it can transform your life \u2013 every day list, name, or express your gratitude for at least five things &#8211; try it for a month watch how the magic grows.
