Kids will not only love making these Ramadaan crafts but also enjoy the blessings of giving and sharing.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The little DIY Sadaqa pouches below are cute to gift some cash to those in need. Let your kid use some of his\/ her savings to add to the pouch.<\/li>\n<li>The Islamic or Lunar Calendar is based on the sighting of the new moon. This then indicates the starting of the new month. Try these Oreo cookies to celebrate the birth of the Eid moon!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>\u00a02 DIY Sadaqa\u00a0 (charity) pouches for Ramadaan and Eid<\/h2>\n<p>Taking the time to make these special gift bags speaks volumes to the recipient. Contrary to popular belief this is not only a m0nth of fasting, feasting and night prayer, but also a time to extend\u00a0 the giving hands. And Eid is no different &#8211; Muslims all over pay a &#8220;Fitra&#8221;, a small amount that is handed over to the less fortunate. This should be double the height you wish the pouch to be, plus a little extra for the flap.<\/li>\n<li>Cut out shapes to decorate with.\u00a0 Some ideas: use 2 squares to create an 8 pronged star, kaabah or mosque.<\/li>\n<li>Fold over the felt to form\u00a0 pouch. Stick down the sides with glue or double sided tape.<\/li>\n<li>Stick on cut outs to decorate. Add stickers, buttons or any other decor.<\/li>\n<li>Apply two velcro dot stickers on either end of the flap so thatthe sadaqa pouch can be opened and sealed shut.<\/li>\n<li>Fill the pouch with some cash, and a little note too! Melt for 1 min, and stir till smooth.<\/li>\n<li>Do the same with the other 1\/4. Colour this with the yellow food colouring. TIP: a toothpick dipped in the colouring and then the chocolate saves your fingers from turning all colours! It is also a good measure for the amount of colouring needed.<\/li>\n<li>Dip half the Oreo biscuit in the white chocolate ( can colour this grey). Allow to set on a drip tray.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the yellow chocolate into the piping\/ziplock bag. Snipping a tiny pin-head hole in the corner, use this to pipe a crescent moon over the Oreo like the picture above.
