{"id":1574,"date":"2010-04-16T11:55:33","date_gmt":"2010-04-16T09:55:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.jozikids.co.za\/zaparents-blog\/?p=1574"},"modified":"2022-06-09T18:54:28","modified_gmt":"2022-06-09T16:54:28","slug":"feeding-the-giraffes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.jozikids.co.za\/blog\/activities-and-outings\/places-with-animals\/feeding-the-giraffes\/","title":{"rendered":"Feeding the giraffes!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A few weekends ago we went to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jozikids.co.za\/listing\/johannesburg-zoo\/\/\">Johannesburg\u00a0Zoo<\/a> and fed White Stinkwood Tree cuttings to the Giraffes \u2013 they love it \u2013 they actually start salivating as they see the trailer coming towards them (makes you feel quite important \u2013 driving your own car through the Zoo !) This time they let us climb over the fence and get right up close.<\/p>\r\n<p>This is a very special thing that we\u2019ve been doing with our\u00a04 \u00a0yr old daughter, Kate over the past year. We saw an appeal from the Zoo for tree cuttings.
