{"id":15201,"date":"2017-10-20T17:04:09","date_gmt":"2017-10-20T15:04:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/responsive.jozikids.co.za\/zaparents\/?p=15201"},"modified":"2022-06-15T20:54:34","modified_gmt":"2022-06-15T18:54:34","slug":"4-steps-tips-for-parents-to-support-kids-through-exams","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.jozikids.co.za\/blog\/education\/exams\/4-steps-tips-for-parents-to-support-kids-through-exams\/","title":{"rendered":"4 steps to help kids through exams"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>In today\u2019s fast paced world of technology, media and negativity our children are living in a very different world compared to 20 years ago.\u00a0 Children at a very young age have a huge amount of pressure to succeed.\u00a0 They also lead very busy lives with homework, extra murals, therapies, social engagements etc.\u00a0 When it comes to exam time, there is even more pressure on them as many schools weight the exam mark to count for a high percentage of the term mark.<\/p>\n<p>Fear of failure, worry and anxiety create negative thought patterns which cause a negative outcome regardless of how much preparation and studying your children done.\u00a0 You can help to decrease stress levels in your child and yourself through the exam process by following these four EQ Steps \u2013<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. The Situation<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>2. Think<br \/>\n3. Do<br \/>\n4.
