NCTís outdoor Imagination Theatre comes alive in March to the sound of Sergei Prokofievís symphonic fairy tale for children, directed by NCTís resident Artistic Director, Daniel Geddes.
This exciting new take on the beloved score and story will excite the imagination and bring the beloved characters and music to life in a new way. Three teenagers stumble upon Prokofievís classic, and begin to explore its pages Ė with surprising results. They must retell the story, or their poor new friend, the Conductor, will be lost to its pages forever.
The original tale helped children learn the different parts of the orchestra as well as experience themes and motifs in music in a fun and engaging way. Staying true to the score and the original story, this adaptation is no different.
Remember to bring your sun hat, picnic basket, picnic blanket Ė and umbrella and camping chair which can be placed where not obstructing othersí view of the stage.
Note that NCT observes all COVID-19 protocols and the event is limited to 100 seats.
