Study skills for children
Learning to Learn - Skills for School Success. StudyBoost offers courses in study skills for children from Grades 4 to 12 with a focus on active reading and how to extract key words from material, mind-mapping, memory skills and improving reading comprehension. Children attend 2 x 2 hour sessions at the study centre in Highlands North, Johannesburg. A maximum of 8 children are taken per course. Revision courses are also held on a regular basis to ensure that skills are maintained. Courses are run by Margie Karnasopoulos, a specialist educator with a keen interest in helping children learn how to learn.
