Au Pairs
We firmly believe that this service should not be elite-only. As such, we pride ourselves on working within your budget, while still ensuring that your children are taken care of by the very best.
StudentCo offers you the opportunity to personally meet with and interview prospective au pairs. This service ensures that you select someone with whom you are one hundred percent satisfied. Furthermore, the rates above include the first 15km driven in the scope of duty each day.
Background and reference checks, personal interviews and matching are done at a fee of only R150.
Thereafter, the Agency stays involved, administering payroll, providing substitutes when needed and ensuring that you get monthly feedback.
As mentioned, we work within YOUR budget. That said, an average estimate of monthly costs are:
R2 250 – R 5 750 – au pair salary
R249 – agency fee (which may seem expensive, until you consider the Industry standard of charging 12% of your au pair’s projected annual salary – up front. And without much involvement following placement).
House and Pet Sitters
All options include a daily dog walk and that no extra fee is charged for families with more than one pet. StudentCo also offers you the opportunity to personally meet with and interview prospective sitters. This complimentary service ensures that you select someone with whom you are one hundred percent satisfied.
1.Greet, grub and rub – R75/day
A daily visit – your sitter ensures that all pets are fed and their water bowls filled; gives some love and attention, takes care of daily grooming, and takes the dogs for a walk.
Litter boxes are also cleaned.
The garden is watered, pool maintained, post collected, and any additional chores completed.
2. Hello again! – R125/day
A twice-daily visit to those pets who need a lot of people-contact.
3. Morning, noon, and night – R150/day
A fulltime house-sitting service during which your sitter spends a lot of time at your house – and hence with the pets - during the day, and sleeps over every night.
Our sitters are selected according to strict criteria, and bound by a strict code of conduct. Damage to and misuse of your property should thus not be a concern. Past pet ownership and care are investigated to ensure that only true animal lovers are placed with families who have pets.
Tutors
Trusted for efficiency, and characterized by a distinctly personal brand of service, StudentCo aims to provide the best possible tutors to students at Primary and High school level, as well as to those at first- and second year University.
Offering private at-home tutelage in all school subjects and a variety of tertiary modules, as well as offering both individual as well as group sessions, StudentCo prides itself on providing a comprehensive and personally tailored service. Whether your child is in need of someone to take him back to the basics, or someone to guide him in achieving straight A’s, StudentCo will provide the perfect tutor.
Potential tutees are individually assessed, and a tutoring package prepared according to their particular needs and goals. Typically, our Primary school students receive a single hour of weekly tutoring per subject, while high school learners are upped to an average of two hours. Again, this is tailored according to each student’s individual situation.
