Bambanani is Johannesburg's South Africa's answer to families looking for a little fun.
We offer an array of food, fun and festivities all under one roof.

Secure playground with childminders for kids

For small kids, Bambanani boasts a spectacular imported jungle gym located in a secure and covered play area as well as an outdoor section with kiddie-friendly apparatus. Both offer direct access to a lower and upper wooden deck, which are pram and wheel-chair-friendly. From here, moms and dads can keep an eye on their little ones. But the brilliance of Bambanani is such that they can take a breather as CPR-trained childminders are also on hand to let parents relax over a coffee, cake or delicious meal all to the backdrop of Balau wooden decks and Apricot trees.

Kids weekly activities and shows

On set days of the week, designed such that moms can plan their week well, children can take part in the various activities on offer, be it an arts and crafts activity or a story-reading or puppet show. Parents can enjoy a coffee or meal, relaxed in the knowledge that their children are indeed in a child-friendly place, with a permanent minder also manning the restaurant¡¦s front gate to ensure that moms and dads need not worry about the whereabouts of their kids. A breast-feeding room is also on hand for moms to feed in comfort ¡V as are great baby changing facilities, bumbos and high chairs.

More family entertainment for older kids and adults

For older children, Playstation 2 and 3 are on offer in the Movie Room downstairs, which is manned by a minder for ease of mind. Movies, games and Foos Ball are the order of the day for older kids, as is live TV coverage of major sporting events. This means that families and friends can meet in Bambananis funky indoor space, designed in low-key bistro fashion in an open-plan and interactive to watch a match or race on one of two of Bambananis flat-screen TVs (anything else to be said about TVs?). Dads can shout for their favourite teams, moms can chat over coffee and cake or tuck into one of the range of magazines provided by Bambanani and kids can join in the festivities or play outside or catch a movie or some Playstation downstairs.

Whatever the case, Bambanani is all about families and friendship.

I visited the restaurant on a busy public holiday with 4 kids, the service from the beginning was great, from good food to having the kids play and enjoying themselves thoroughly in a safe friendly environment with child minors present all the time,
I would recommend this place anytime for a relaxing family day, well spent indeed :)

I went to Bambanani for the first time yesterday. food was good, and staff were friendly. Both my 1 year old and 8 year old had a great time and will definitely go back- What stood out the most, when I got there, the host asked if I had a booking and I said no as I was not aware you had to make one, he said ok and in 5 mins said please take a seat, the couch will be cleared in a bit and can sit there. Which was nice, he did not turn us away nor was he rude . Will definitely be going back there with my girls and recommend to other mums. Must remember to book a table near the play place so to watch the kiddies but the child minders were quite helpful

This Saturday the 26th Nov 2011 was my first visit, and i love love this place. It is by far the best Child-friendly restaurant. I will def be back , in fact i think this will be my second home when going out with my little boy.

I went to Bambanani for the first time on Sunday and I was really very impressed. The food was great and the staff very friendly. The kids had a ball.All and all a great experience. Will definitely go back!

I went to Bambanani on the 26th of September for my husband's birthday lunch. We normally dread taking our 22 month old to restaurants because we cannot finish a meal in peace. I had a peaceful meal for the first time in months and my little girl had the time of her life playing with all the toys and exploring the environment. They cater for babies/toddlers and bigger children and the food was also quite good. I will definitely go back.

Hi

I was taken to Bambanani by a friend and I was very impressed with the set up for both the adults and the kids...what a brilliant idea; the kids are having fun while the adults socialise without any interruptions. Bambanani is a great place to be on a lazy Sunday afternoon with a book, a glass of wine, good conversation and the kids having fun all at the same place and time. I would like to thank the owner for this excellent venue and great service.

This is such a wondeful place!! I live an hour & half away in Fochville and travel through when I can, to spend the morning at Bambanani. My kids love it and the food is great! A Big Thumbs up!
