We would like to thank you for coming and enjoyed our venue.
We are sorry for the day of the party, we have been victim of the success and hadn't enough guides. It shouldn't happen, and won't happen again. We will investigate to understand what happened this particular day, and make sure it doesn't happen again.
We would like to remind the concept of Acrobranch:
It's a place for adventure, fun and sport as well as personal development, for kids and adults, in complete security. And we also believe it's one of the unique venues where the whole family can share a fun activity together.
Hence, the philosophy of the courses is to be a little bit challenging for everyone.
It's very good for kids to face a bit of challenge. We ask the guides not to intervene immediately, but to let the kids a few moments to try to find a solution of there own.
We are taking your concern into seriously, and will make sure that enough guides are taking care of the little one, and we will carry on improving the level of support we are delivering to be as close as possible to perfection.
Most of the little adventurers understand and learn very quickly how to manipulate the carabiners, and are usually applying very well the rules explained at the training phase.

Helmets don’t appear to be necessary for Acrobranch activity. We have also been running Johannesburg site for more than 1 year without helmet without any accident or incident, but we strongly recommend the use of Gloves, as it's the only potential risk of minor injury.
Security is our top priority, and we will continuously try harder to improve the level of service and security for our customers.

My daughter had her birthday party there.
The venue is lovely and the course stunning. However, the safety issues are horrendous.
In the first place kids don't have helmets - this is an accessory that is NOT negotiable on ANY professional ropes course.
Secondly, the kids get given a quick talk on what to do. They get told about carabiners and pulleys, and if they dare not have two on the ropes all the time, they will be taken off the course immediately. What child between the age of 3 and 6 years old understand this concept! Thirdly, one gets assured of an instructor for every 10 kids. On the cubs course there should be AT LEAST one instructor at every point. I was concerned for each child's safety there and embarrassed as each parent one by one came to me with the same concerns. Twice there was a kid on her own with absolutely no one to help her, screaming for help in the middle of a zip line. We requested for more instructors at least 3 times. Very reluctantly did they come at intervals and then disappeared.
It is a very lovely venue. However without any changes to the customer service and the safety issues, I will discourage anyone to go.

Jenny and Jozikids
We are well aware of these problems highlighted in the email you sent us and I assure you that we have been battling tirelessly to fix them. The toilet situation is embarrassing to say the least, we have been having such a up hill battle to find a toilet company to deliver on service, its ridiculous. We have subsequently fired the latest supplier and our new supplier assures us that this problem won't occur with them. The new toilets were installed yesterday .
As for the fixed toilets in the park, we made arrangements with Joburg City Park to open those toilets, to spare our customers the indignity of having to use porta loos but alas on the said day there was no running water and JCP staff decided that it was pointless having the toilets unlocked with no running water.Ultimately we would love to have our own toilet facilities and we hope this will become a reality sooner rather than later.
We apologise and have apologised to Jenny about this unfortunate incident which is exactly that, unfortunate and i assure you that if Acrobranch had our way and weren't fully dependant on service delivery we would even have electricity so you could have a cup of coffee in the park.
Kind Regards
Acrobranch Management

Had my daughters birthday party there on Sat 14 May 2011. Unfortuately there were no toilet facilities on site which is totally unacceptable. There were two portable toilets close by which don't belong to Acrobranch which were open but filthy and full of waste and totally unusable - a major health risk. The toilets which Acrobranch directed us to were a fair distance away and across two briges along with vagrants and when we got there they were locked. I had to take the children in the car to a coffee shop in Oaklands. I saw on many occasions children relieving themselves behind trees etc which is unacceptable. The concept is fantastic and the girls had a good time but am surprised they have been allowed to set something up like this without proper facilities - there is no water either.

This is a wonderful outing in the heart of Joburg. I took my three children, age 4 1/2, 6 1/2 and 10 and they all loved it. There are stages for every age and much is decided by height - my tall 4 1/2 year old did the beginning of the Cheetah's course and when the ropes got too high for him (and got a bit scary), the guide safely lowered him down. You do need to keep an eye on your children as they have the responsibility of remembering to keep a carabiner attached to the guide ropes at all times. Bring two parents if you have children of different ages otherwise you'll be running back and forth. This was the most enjoyable two hours spent under the trees on a Sunday morning, we'll be back! (PS: booking ahead is essential)
