Puppet shows for children's parties
Choose two puppet shows for your party from a list of over 30 shows, or otherwise one longer (40 minute) show. Themes include animals, dinosaurs, princess, fairies, mermaids, circus, bugs, transport, nursery rhymes, bears, unicorn and pirates! Some traditional puppet stories also available.
For the puppets, the birthday child is the special star! At the end of the second show, there is always a birthday surprise from the puppets. Sensitivity to little ones who may be nervous about puppets. Plenty of participation, drama and excitement!
You can also book a puppet-making workshop for your child's party: This includes a 20 minute puppet show, and thereafter, the children make their own colourful sock puppets to take home. All materials provided.
Puppet shows for special events
Delightful participative and fun-filled puppet shows for your Fun Day; Fund-raising event; Valentine's Day/Grannies/Grandpas Day; Father's Day/Mother's Day; Spring Day; Pyjama or Storytelling Evening. Choose one forty minute show, or two half hour shows, or structure the shows to fit in with your event.

New shows for 2012 include: "Zim-zam-zee, what could I be?" (occupations); "Boris the Lost Property Box" (taking care of your belongings) and "Khanyisa lights the way" (Songs ands rhymes from Africa; language enrichment).
Educational and entertaining puppet shows that encourage creative thinking and problem-solving. Choose from a list of over 35 shows. Themes include: Importance of Trees; The Changing Seasons; Me, I'm Special!; Be the best you can be!; Care of the Environment; The Five Senses; Safety; Conflict Resolution; Animal Homes, Winter Wisdom; Transport; Pets and Pet Care - and many more! Shows last forty minutes and often include a song, incorporating the main elements of the show, which the children learn. Words printed out for use of educators as follow-up and reinforcement.
Spellbound Puppet shows incorporate themes that encourage creative thinking, non-violence, participation and love of nature. The shows are performed for a wide spectrum of audiences, and are always adapted with sensitivity to particular educational, religious or other concerns.

Puppetry training in partnership with NGO's
Puppetry is a highly effective means of getting important messages across!
Consultation and training can be provided in close partnerships with NGOs, developing a programme for your NGO or organisation using puppetry as a tool for education and change. Assistance in puppet stage design and puppet making.
Organisations that have worked in partnership with Spellbound Puppets, or who have commissioned puppet shows include: Johannesburg Zoo, Rand Water, Delta Park Environmental Centre, Amnesty International, NICRO (Crime prevention), SANTA (Tuberculosis awareness), WCRP (World Conference on Religion and Peace), Witwatersrand Mental Health and many others.
Pricing structure for bookings, 2012:
Varies depending on numbers of children, and travelling distance. Call for details. Guide price: Birthday parties from R1 100 for a show (includes travelling). Schools R16 per child plus R130 travelling fee. Minimum fee R1 100 (under 60 children). Special concession for playgroups of 20 children or less - R1000.
