* Saturday Arts Academy (SAA) - various Performing Arts disciplines for learners, including tap, afro-fusion, African song and dance, marimba, drumming, drama.
Sibikwa Saturday Arts Academy (SAA)for ages 7-24
SAA aims to..
* Encourage a culture of learning through the Creative Arts
* Encourage and Develop Leadership qualities and skills through the Creative Arts
* Direct the energies of the youth towards productive activity
* Classes are offered in African Percussion, Marimba, Tap, Drama, Afro-Fusion and African Song and Dance
* Learners participate in National Examinations in the various disciplines.
* Classes begin at 8:45-17:00 and are divided into 2 groups...
1.Primary school in the morning till 13:15 (learners are required to do 4 pre-selected disciplines).
2.High school learners are required to select a minimum of 2 disciplines, and can spend a full day at Sibikwa if they wish. The Academy adheres to the Gauteng School’s Calendar
