Gymnastics classes
Jhb Gymnastics Centre offers gymnastics classes from the beginner levels, right through to the Olympic level. Our club collectively has the highest qualified judges & coaches in the country, who are all registered with the South African Gymnastics Federation.
Gymnastics has been widely regarded as the sport that develops all other sports! We focus on learning through fun, in a safe & healthy environment.We are open 6 days a week & offer very popular Saturday classes for girls of all ages, to help those working moms & dads, who can not bring their children during the week.
Highlights of our best achievements over the last 3 years:
2006: All 4 members of the COMMONWEALTH GAMES TEAM, were from JGC. At these Games, we won our first ever bronze medal on floor.
JGC gymnast, Rinette Whelpton competes in the World Championships in Aaurhus, Denmark.
8 out of the 10 girls who are selected to the African Championships teams, are JGC members. Both the RSA Senior & Junior teams win the Team Gold medal & become African Champions.
2007: The RSA team, with 3 out of the 5 members from JGC win the ALL AFRICAN CHAMPIONSHIPS in Algeria.
Rinette Whelpton & Candice Cronje, compete in the World Championships in Stuttgart, Germany.
2008: Head Coach & Owner of JGC, Ilse Laing wins the SAGF coach of the year award for the 4th consectuive year.
At the Central Gauteng Awards Ceremoney, Jhb Gymnastics centre walks away with the vast majority of the awards! At national & international competitions during 2008, JGC continues to dominate.
* Fees are charged per month & vary depending on the amount of hours your child trains.
* Fees start at R250 per month for 1.5-3 hours per week, which is what most beginner gymnasts do.
