My son Ziyaad is 9 years old and started Equitherapy sessions with Margreet Ludewig in February this year. The first few month were challenging and I did not even know if we will carry on with the horse riding. We are now 6 months into it and Ziyaad is a different child. From a rather disruptive, manipulative and uncooperative child, he has progressed into a boy that has made friends with a horse named Zorro. He is responding so well and has absolutely taken to Margreet. She is so gentle and caring and Ziyaad is enjoying every session with this astonishing woman that does not give up on a child. I guess none of us should.....

My son Jared is 9 years old and is on the autism spectrum. I was fortunate enough to be introduced to an amazing lady, Margreet who is the Eduride facilitator at EduRide in Ruimsig. Communication is the very very challenging part of having a child on the autism spectrum, something I am challenged with daily.
Yes, somehow, through Margreet and the amazing work she does with Jared at EduRide, he communicates, he is calm, and smiles all the time. He counts his sleeps until horse riding.
As every parent knows, a child who has a special need, costs a fortune - the therapy, the doctors bills etc, but this money spent on EduRide is worth every single cent and more.
Out of everything I have tried for Jared, EduRide is by far the most amazing activity we have explored.
The love and attention he receives from Margreet, is undoubtedly amazing. She is a very special lady and we feel incredibly blessed that he was introduced to her and the work she does with special children and the horses.
I highly recommend EduRide to anyone who has a child with a disability. Margreet is an absolute angel.

My son started with Eduride in January 2012. He has Global Developmental Delay - meaning he is 6 in age but still has the intellectual capability of a 2 year old.
He has loved each Saturday's lesson and gets very upset if he misses out.
The horses are well groomed and the two teachers are superb.
It's a lovely family outing for us - a break away from the hectic Joburg life.
Your child will develop and learn in ways only the special horses can teach him/her.

I am a preschool teacher, and I have a little boy in my class named Calvin
who has been doing EduRide for the past few months, every Saturday.
At school, on the days when he is grumpy, or when he's upset because his mom
has dropped him off, all I have to do is say, "Calvin, op Saturdag sal jy
Dilly ry?" and the tears dry up instantly. He adores that horse. He talks
about him all the time, what he eats, what he does. He wanders about the
playground saying "Stap aan, Dilly".
This is a child who barely spoke when I first met him last August.
Your program is amazing, from what I have heard, and from the joy you have
placed in this child's heart.
What you do is awesome.
