The Shaw-Butler Dance Studio is a dual Studio that offers both Highland / Scottish plus Irish dance disciplines.
Highland and Scottish dance classes
Highland Dancing lessons encompass traditional Highland & Scottish National dance steps as well as choreographed dances.
Irish dance classes
Irish Dancing lessons include softshoe, hardshoe, ceili (team) and figure dancing.
Our dance studio provides the opportunity for a dancer to enter competitions, concerts and exams. Ideal hobby for both guys and girls providing the opportunity for local, inter-provincial & international involvement. A dancer may participate in both or one of the dance forms. It is however encouraged that both forms are learnt as they compliment and benefit each other. Classes range from beginner through to advanced, trained by Merryl Hofmeyr- Fellow(SDTA, Scotland), Associate (Ireland), Adjudicator(SOBHD, Scotland)
