Mimosa is my daughter’s “Home away from Home…”
She enjoys the safe and supportive spaces that respect and nurture her strengths, creativity and abilities.
Mimosa encourages diversity and inclusiveness. They provide an enthusiastic, happy and friendly learning environment that supports innovative and creative practice, reinforcing quality learning and teaching that allows learners to prosper academically and socially. Children are always encouraged to help support each other.
The school has a lovely big garden and play area as well as an amazing vegetable garden, which is a wonderful way to reconnect our children with the natural world and true source of their food. The children simply love the gardening, harvesting and at the same time get to enjoy the delicious herbs and vegetables. My daughters highlight is her time spent in the ‘mud-kitchen’…
She is given the opportunity and support to explore life’s big questions like: Who are you? What do you care about most? What is your purpose in this world?, etc. which helps shape her character, create an understanding and instill confidence in her little being, whilst combining an ethos of people, purpose and place.
Mimosa strongly believes in Parents/Carers involvement to create a family-like setting, working collaboratively with Parents/Carers in every Project possible, in order to reach the best outcomes for our children.
I am very pleased that my daughter attends a school that prides itself in an atmosphere where every child has the right to learn and the right to feel safe and valued.

We highly, highly recommend Mimosa Montessori. My husband and I are thrilled that we discovered (based on our friends' emphatic recommendation) Mimosa Montessori four years ago. I truly believe it was the best possible school in the city for our two boys.
Heather and the school's teaching staff, its children and its families work beautifully together to create a mutually supportive and warm environment -- based on a shared vision of the inherent wisdom, curiosity and dignity of all children.
So many families keep coming back after their children leave -- it is because we have found a happy and supportive home where we feel welcome, encouraged and loved. Just like our children feel when they are at this school.

Mimosa Montessori is a wonderfully warm, creative and vibrant space for children to play, learn and socialise. From the beautifully bright garden full of secret corners, sand, soil and slides, to the classrooms full of colour, textures and sounds, Mimosa provides a safe and nurturing environment for children.
Over the two years my daughter has attended Mimosa I have seen her grow in confidence, in her awareness of others and of the world around her and in her eagerness to learn. This can be attributed to the ways in which Mimosa combines the Reggio inquiry based approach with Montessori principles to shape learning and play around the experiences and explorations of the children. In doing so the agency of the children is cultivated as they are encouraged to openly express and to be themselves. It is also testament to the passion and commitment of all the teachers at Mimosa whom, despite the many little people demanding attention, always seem to have time to focus on each child and, seem to know each and every one for their individual needs and interests. This is a wonderful school and I could not recommend it more highly!

Mimosa was the pre-primary school our daughter (now 8) attended and the current school for our son. This school represents the future, a bright, creative, inclusive and respectful future. The team of teachers is forever mindful of the kids interests and suggestions. Supportive of us parents and open to our support and suggestions, the school has managed to put in place a welcoming space where the children ideas can be explored. They are listened and respected. And a welcoming space for the families too where to connect with the community and come together to explore our own experiences in raising our children. We have a lot to be thankful for to Mimosa
