Mini Steam Trains

Open to public every 1st & 3rd Sunday of each month, The Rand Society of Model Engineers holds an open day for families to attend and have some fun. Bring a picnic and have a ride on these incredible mini steam trains. It's a wonderful experience for kids and adults! The open day is held at the Len Rutter Park (cnr Golf Club Terrace & Louis Botha Drive) in Florida Park.
The RSME also has a small museum with old engines for viewing.

Entrance is free on open days (open to the public), rides cost R5 each.

For birthday parties and other functions price on request.

What a fabulous way to spend the day with the kids. Take a blanket and picnic basket along and don't get there too late.

Awesome Party Venue, we recently had our son's 4th Birthday at RSME and every child enjoyed it. Thanks for a wonderful venue.

I have both attended and hosted a kid's birthday party at this venue. I think it is the most fun my kids have had at a party!

The Sunday open days are also great fun with the only potential problem being the possible bankruptcy from kids wanting to ride ALL DAY!

That said, there are some of the most beautiful machines on view and working on Sundays that I think I whine even more than the kids to go on these outings.
